Daily Rituals for a Better Erotic Life

At the very basic foundation, a healthy body is a reproductive body (whether or not you are wanting to reproduce!).
Neglecting our health- be it physical, emotional, spiritual, can "block" us from experiencing our best erotic selves.
Overworking? Overindulging? Under resting? We can't expect to feel like ourselves when we are living out of balance.
Modern life is inherently demanding and stressful, and we often find ourselves feeling as if we are spread too thin.
Intentionally carving out a small amount of time in your day to take care of YOU helps bring you back to center, to yourself, and more in touch.
1) 10 minutes- Notice what you are doing in the first and last ten minutes of your day. If in front of a screen, you are directing your energy outwards and away from you, draining yourself of your vital energy, and leaving your brain (and nervous system) at the mercy of whatever your screen is showing. Give yourself the conscious gift of being present for your first and last ten minutes, even if it is merely taking a mental inventory of your day to come, how your day went. Notice the impact this has over time on your morning, and on your night's rest.
2) Attention- When you are at a task, whether at work, cooking, or on the phone or in a meeting, take it upon yourself to be completely immersed in the present moment. Building presence is a skill that takes practice and allows you to better "drop in" in your erotic moments, giving you (and your partner!) the gift of better connection and deeper pleasure.
3) Fill up your vessel- Whatever that means for you, engage in activities that fill your cup, so you are not feeling depleted.
Going for an evening run, an after-dinner walk, taking a relaxing Epsom bath, enjoying your hobby, scheduling body work or acupuncture, tucking into a good book instead of going out, spending time with friends and family, expressing yourself through music, art, dance- all small actions you can prioritize so you feel like you.
4) Eat well- If pizza makes you bloated or wine gives you a headache, you're not going to feel in the mood. Date nights don't have to mean consuming foods that don't make you feel your best. Prioritize nourishing meals and treats that don't only taste good, but leave you feeling good!
5) Five senses- A daily practice our team loves is noticing our five senses in various moments.
For example: on your morning commute, what are 5 things you see?
4 things you hear?
3 things you feel?
2 things you smell?
One thing you taste?
This quick "scan" quickly pulls you out of your head, and puts you back in communication with your body.
